Jay Wolgin, CPA, CGMASince 1996, Jay has been hard at work as an accounting professional. He has served in both private and public capacities. After graduating, he spent 9 years in public accounting. His longest tenure is 16 years spent as the Chief Financial Officer of one of the nation’s largest home remodelers. He has extensive experience in a wide variety of areas, including sales and marketing, construction, home services, real estate, mergers and acquisitions and financing.

Jay’s knowledge and experience is the driving force behind CFO for Hire. Drawing on more than two decades of knowledge, he provides valuable information and advice to business owners in order to help them grow their organizations. He offers clients both piece-meal and fulltime services in a variety of capacities—CFO, VP of Finance, controller, and more.

A reliable professional, Jay uses his focus and determination to do the utmost for his clients. He understands that each client is unique and requires personal—and personalized—attention. He does not use straight-out-of-the-box solutions; rather, he tailors each engagement to the particular needs and situation presented. Both Jay’s father and his grandfather were CPAs, and he was inspired by their example to pursue a career in the accounting field. He attributes his success to his ability to provide value for his clients and become a trusted advisor to them.
